Car Auctions
At car auctions or vehicle auctions there are usually lots of cars to browse and you can pick up a real bargain at auction. The choice is usually always varied and extensive at a car or vehicle auctions.
However, you don't get to test drive - only an initial viewing, so the purchase risk is high. Wiht most things in life though the higher the risk the higher the reward or loss.
Most bidders at car auctions will be dealers who know the ropes and will always bid just that bit higher on the popular models that they know they can sell quickly. Its always worth visiting a few car auctions before you start to bid yourselves to get a feel for how they operate and to spot any trends with purchases.
At car auctions you have no comeback on vehicles bought. At auction you are purchasing on an 'as seen' basis. Finance is not available nor is a warranty (although some might offer a small consolation warranty at some car auctions)
As with a private car purchase, always try to take a knowledgeable friend with you who knows the market and vehicle mechanics.
